Understanding the Chakra System

The chakra system, originating from ancient Indian spiritual traditions, describes seven main energy centers that run along the spine from the base to the crown of the head. When these energy centers are balanced and flowing freely, we experience optimal physical health, emotional stability, and spiritual connection.

The Seven Main Chakras

1. Root Chakra (Muladhara)

Location: Base of the spine

Color: Red

Element: Earth

Governs: Survival, security, grounding, basic needs

Signs of Imbalance:

  • Anxiety about money or basic needs
  • Feeling ungrounded or spacey
  • Lower back pain or leg issues
  • Digestive problems

Morning Chakra Meditation:

  4. Imagine the color becoming brighter and the spin smoother
  5. Move up through all seven chakras
  6. End by visualizing white light flowing through all chakras
